Yes, I know the feeling. Already I feel like i've accomplished more on my language in the past week then I had done in the couple of months beforehand.

Sure! It has always been intended as an "a priori" (I hope i got that right) language for an alien race. The only major exception to this is that I also want to be able to speak the language myself, so I sacrificed a bit of realism to gain a bit more fun and gave the aliens remarkably human-like vocals ;). Other then that, I've been attempting to give the aliens ( that somewhat resemble winged snakes ) a distinct culture to reflect through their language. The language itself is called slaalehg ihkreen, which translates to "sky language". The orthography (another new word) hasn't yet really been formalized yet. The language has its own script in which it is written, and so far when typing it in roman characters I usually just try using the letters that seem most likely to have people pronounce it correctly. Increasing the size of the lexicon is where the bulk of my work on the language has recently turned. I've started writing up a post for the "weekly vocab" practice. It looks like a very useful idea! =)
