ANADEW? Raising verbs and control verbs

To what degree is raising verbs and control verbs an
IE-phenomenon, that is: what other ways are there to get across
the meanings of control-verbs like those listed in

(and there's no similar list for raising verbs... hmm, must make
account at wiktionary)

or raising verbs like

seem
expect
... (add to the list)

Some, like the control-verb version of start, can be replaced by
various TAM-markers but invoking ANADEW, what other ways are
there?
