Epicene pronoun in english?

Hi everybody,

This is a reply to the thread.

Thanks to everybody, especially the one who gave me an URL to visit. Now, I
just need to choose. For the moment, I like "shi, hir(self), hir" very much.
But maybe I will change "shi"?

Definitively not in "one" nor "it" nor "they".

"One" is too... impersonnal.

"It" is too... animal.

"They" is/are too... plural.  ;-)

That's a pity nobody like "hes" [his] but I also think that "hes's" is
strange even pronounced [hisiz] which is not very far from [itiz].

But I don't worry much about it; I will find my "ideal" epicene pronoun.  ;-)
