Indeed, I suffered a similar shock when I went to Paris (on my school's
overseas study program: 5 weeks in Paris, 1 in london ... and it counts as a
full-time summer semester :D woot!) and in Florence and in London. Nobody
had air-conditioning... :(
I don't know how those Europeans survive.
