That reminds me of when I was watching a gardening show on BBC
America, and they described a plant called an /@'gejv/ (more or less).
I wondered what the hell it was until I saw the plant -- and knew it
as /@'gAvi/ or /@'gAve/- Agave americana - the century plant, or in
Mexican Spanish the Maguey /ma'gej/
My mind wandered into such thoughts as "What is a "gave""? "How does
one get a "gave""?
