It's amazing the response a speaker can get by accusing his audience of
being habitual and public masticators.
And then there's Jubal Harshaw, who tells a politician that he (Harshaw)
"is a senior philosophunculist on active duty", and inquires indignantly,
"Haven't you studied amphigory?"
