FWIW, had I the resources I would be happy to join you. My idea of
vacation is very much like you have described. Back in the 60s I lived
in Germany for two years, courtesy of the U.S. Army. I had a VW and 4M
=d $1. For one of my vacations I took a trip to Liechtenstein. A most
memorable experience. I was a guest in a private home. I was able to
talk to the lady of the house in Hochdeutsch, but her husband only
spoke Plattdeutsch. I covered every square km. of the principality up
to the snow line. Visited Bregenz. I enjoyed merely walking the
streets of Vaduz and the other towns just "absorbing" the ambience. My
idea of a vacation. Truly sorry that I can't join you in July.
