Thanks so much for sharing these inner perceptions, they are what I was hoping for when I raised questions in the first Conlang Instinct post. I'm currently trying to expand the vector tense system so that it can directly represent these kinds of natural symbolizations; it looks possible. Your year map makes a lot of sense as a view of the earth's annual orbital revolution around the sun seen from the north ecliptic pole. The sequence is correct and the earth does revolve annually in its orbit counterclockwise viewed from the North Ecliptic Pole; which is on an axis through the sun and geometrically normal to the plane of the planets' revolution around the sun. The overlay of compass directions doesn't work out for me, at least not yet. Thanks also for the color information, it has me thinking about the concept "essence", or what is essential about a concept. In NGL we have a suffix -xi and also another -ci, -xi allows the carrying across of color or any other properties chosen as a part of a concept, -ci might not. But if the synesthetes here wanted to define color as an essential part of number in NGL, then it would be -ci. In other words, "number-ci" number-essence, would have to include color. And "number-xi" could be defined with or without color. Or "number-ci" could be colorless number and "number-xi" could be with color. It is not only languages that need to be translated one into another but each person seems to be a language onto wo-self. That has been my experience in every close relationship. Truly, Jerry
