    Oh I do not wanna sound like I am _totally_ insensitive to all the
"barbarians" from the West ;) and the humour in my remarks was not quite
"marked" enough, eh? ;)
    (Sacre Bleu, I could seriously do without the mean-spirited,
authoritarian Confucianist streak in certain Asian cultures, ferinstance...
the Police State of Singapore is a prime example of Confucianism run amok ;)
and one could seriously argue that post-Maoist China is essentially
neo-Confucianist, confused neo-Confucianist at that.
