I wonder if anyone is keeping these?
I'm Andrew Smith (spell it as it sounds), resident Conlanger from New
Zealand and no authority on anything. I was born in Invercargill and
live in Dunedin. Until recently I worked for 12 months in the Archives
of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand. Now I find myself
between things again.
My first language is English, with a general-to-cultured New Zealand
Accent. I am not fluent in any other languages to a conversational
level. My most active created language is Brithenig, a romance language
like French or Spanish, which has the sound changes of Welsh. It is
said to originate from a Kingdom of Cambria decidedly different to the
Principality of Wales *here*.
Musical tastes: ummm, just reading off the shelf: Beethoven; Chopin;
ENZSO; Flanders and Swann; Handel's Messiah; Garth Hewit; Hot House
Flowers; Shona Laing; Vaughn Williams; BBC Music magazine CDs;
and The Great Composers Series; plus contemporary odds and ends; Johnny
Clegg, Sheryl Crow, The Cruel Sea, etc.
- andrew.
