    This isn't going to mean anything to most of you, but flipping through
the California DMV website, I noticed you could check which personalized
license plates are still available (this is at www.dmv.ca.gov, substituting
whatever two letter state code for another united state).  Here are some of
interest:

Available:
ARTLANG
AUXLANG
LNGUAGE
MEGDEVI (language of mine)
GWEYDR (another)

Not Available:
CONLANG

    Which means that SOMEONE in California is going around with a license
plate that reads CONLANG (possibly someone on this list?  Mr. Smith at
UCLA?).  Of interest to James Joyce fans:

Available:
JJOYCE

Not Available:
ULYSSES
DEDALUS
FINEGAN
