Along the lines of improbably yet possible, I wrote about an idea
which was mentioned on this list before as a "Monster Raving
Loony" language (am I quoting that right?). This is a language
that groups A and P to the exclusion of S. A summary of this
and other strange possibilities can be found here:

Go to section 7.0: "Impossibilities."

As for infixaufnahme, it's certainly possible--circumfixaufnahme,
too. Two of my language feature this phenomena, but (crucially)
not with case. So that kind of takes away the "aufnahme" part
of it. Phonologically, though, it works, and since these are
derivational
strategies, semantically it works, so I don't see why it couldn't
work with case.

(Oops! Good thing I checked the header: This would've gone
straight to you, Patrick!)
