Conlanging with constraints (request)

I'd like to see someone make an essay (or a LCC talk - hint hint) on
the general concept, and on specific versions.
"Embracing constraints" in general is a very old new-design concept.
Some types of languages have 'em inherently (e.g. auxlangs re
learnability, lexicon, etc), some don't (ye generic undirected
artlang).
Write / talk about: how to embrace constraints in conlanging; examples
of how it's been done successfully (or unsuccessfully); potential new
ones that haven't been done; 'good' vs 'bad' constraints; etc.
