Swahili *does* have correlation. Class 1/2 is "human", Class 3/4 "thin
or extended objects, trees", Class 5/6 "fruits, objects that tend to
come in groups" (the second in each pair is plural). Some of them
aren't very easily classifiable, tho.
I use numbers for Uatakassi, also, altho easy names could be given to
the categories. And indeed, the Kassii themselves give them names.
"The House of Women", "The House of Men", "The House of People", "The
House of Animals", "The House of Animals" [Those two differing by the
gender of "animal"], but I haven't figured out the traditional names of
hte last two genders. I do sometimes use "female sentient", "male
sentient", "epicene sentient", "animals associated with people",
"animals not associated with people", "other animate", "inanimate", but
numbers are easier to use than such lengthy names. :-)
