Yes. She told about "a fümfviertel Stund'", meaning one and
a quarter hour.

For 45 minutes, you usually have "eine Dreiviertelstunde" (a
three quarter's hour). I didn't know "5/4 hours" before, so
I was pretty astonished and have been keeping expression in
mind for at least 10 years already because of that. It does
not appear in Standard German, nor does it in my active
vocabulary. I guess you'd get blank stares here, too,
though I'm sure people understand what is meant on a second
thought.
