I'm also only fluent in English, with only the occasional "qu'est-ce que
c'est?" or "was ist das?" thrown in to relieve the monotony, but I used to
do counting in other languages, particularly Spanish. (Russian "one" is
/a'd_jin/, IIRC.) I believe I may have picked up the habit of counting in
Spanish from Sesame Street.
