Carashán has a couple of silent letters. <h> when it stands alone is silent, e.g. heajo "winter" is pronounced /'jaZo/ or /'EaZo/, and the final -n of the 3p ending is silent: los caitein "they sing" is /los 'kaIteI/. Dan
