IIRC Sad to say, I know next to nothing about Slavic linguistics (beyond what little I've picked up from lurking on Cybalist), but your Master Plan looks viable IMO. I believe I've read somewhere that there seem to be Slavic-like features in Venetic, though that's speculative. (big snip)
