The Persians celebrate New Year on March 21, i.e.
the day of saint Benedict, even though the official
list of Swedish _namnsdagar_ is now for the most
part unrelated to the saints' calendar, since they
(a) wanted the names of Swedish kings in, and (b)
people whose names are not saints' names want a
day to celebrate. My name Benct is of course March 21.!
