Falling? I pronounce 'Tuomas' something like [twOmas], i.e., the 'o' is more prominent, so this should be a rising diphthong.

Again, you mean the reverse, no? From glide + vowel? Otherwise I'd expect the first element to be more prominent. **Henrik
