Hey.
Miapimoquitch has _lelappi_ ["l14appi:] for 'butterfly'. The stem
_lela_ is unanalyzable; the suffix -ppi is a lexical suffix meaning
something like "flying, buzzing thing". It shows up on _sei(ppi)_
'honeybee', _ngippi_ 'boxelder bug', _pappi_ 'bumblebee', _pippi_
'fly', _huppi_ 'gnat', _tsippi_ or _tsiwippi_ 'hummingbird', and
_ngeppi_ 'mosquito'. (All examples are given in my romanization, in
which <ng> is the velar nasal and <e> is a high back unrounded vowel.)
