Zadar, about your betazoid peoples. The very fact that Deanna and Lwaxana
Troi were overwhelmed by the image telepathists suggests that there's is not
one. Deanna never seems to be at a loss for words. She sees into the being of
a person, their feelings and attitudes, although she doesnt really read their
precise thoughts.
We humans do this by reading body language, and by emoting. For example if I
am angry and shouting and running towards someone with my fists clenched and
up for striking.... we know what that means. The Betazoids are particularly
good at this, and doubtless have a language to express the details thereof. I
imagine them having a very deep, and feeling centered language. But surely
they must have one.
Just by the evidence of their using language with such skill and grace. And
courage.
And if they would learn language in childhood, do you think they would forget?
Have we forgotten how to play? No. The sense of fun we lived in childhood
lives on, and certainly the Betazoid would as well. I like to wonder what
their culture would be like. Their art, their poetry their plays! If the
tatter they had.....
