The prosthetic worn by actors playing Betazoids is a black lens that
obscures all colour between the pupil and the albumen of the eye. It took
me several seasons of STTNG before I found a reference to this and took
the point of looking out for it. If this is consistant for all species on
Betazed of the same phylum then it is something that might be marked as
being unBetazoid in Betazoid languages.

Q. Why are there so many Smiths in the Phone Book?
A. Because they all have telephones!
