I just saw the strangest thing on TV...
A commercial with a conlang in it.
it's a mcdonald's commercial:
it starts out with these two guys in a drive-up window. one of them,
male, hears some non-English language coming from the drive-up window
speaker/microphone, and he's like "huh?" and then the other person, she
says something like "don't worry, i speak Atlantean!" and then she talks
in Atlantean, saying something like "hi, you said you'd like a ham and
cheese?", and then the commercial goes on...
"And even the name of that land perished, and Men spoke thereafter not
of... Numenore... but the exiles on the shores of the sea... spoke of
Mar-nu-Falmar that was whelmed in the waves, Akallabeth the Downfallen,
Atalante in the Eldarin tongue."
~ Akallabeth, by JRR Tolkien
