ooh ! bac does that too. except it only has two cases
of nouns and the form used to define others is always
the oblique.

it does however have a way to form quality nouns, and
these are the commonest type of adjective :

seb=blood, selb=redness, gajek shelb=red eyes
cas=water, cals=wetness, dalak chals=soggy bread
jag=fire, jalg=heat, ler jhalg=cup of hot water (
(small sitting water) heat )
&c

you can also use phrases to define a noun. all their
topics go into the oblique ( topics are usually in the
direct ), and the verb depends on the meaning of the
sentence ( more on this when i post on indirect speech
).

the man that had sold his sheep to the queen asked for
them back.
snoca tnat lhic Dawb lirany Rawp reygal | Bawc Worical
Dar linr Rap lhicas
/zOtSa nat ItS daUb li4a~y 4aUp 4egOl _ baUtS wO4itSal
da4 lI~4 4ap ItSas/
(the man)-[apposition] the {he exchanged sheep (went
to) monarch-female}, said repeat-she[imperative] give
them (go to) he

note also contrast with

the man, who had sold his sheep to the queen, asked
for them back.
snoca tat lhic Dawb lirany Rawp reygal | Bawc Worical
Dar linr Rap lhicas
/zOtSa tat . . ./
(the man)-[apposition] 0 {he exchanged sheep (went to)
monarch-female}, said repeat-she[imperative] give them
(go to) he

in the first, '-a tnat' can be omitted. in the second
it cannot.
