Thanks very much for this ref. I'm curious-- did you or someone have to retype the whole thing?? If so, Bravo. Is there any plan to do (IIRC)Ivens' book on Sa'a and Ulawa, published in the same series, about the same era? As was noted in the intro.comments, some of the Sa'a orthography got lost; but offhand I recall that he only used ä (a umlaut). If retyping things is indeed involved, I suppose I could volunteer to help the Project-- what's the deal?? I'm a fairly fast typist, accurate thanks to the computer, and know the English language and lots of others. Also, being retired, I have a great deal of free time........ A couple of errors jumped out at me, since they involve well-known Austronesian forms (of course, they may be errors in the original text...) 1. In the list of numbers in the text, the words for 7 and 8 are interchanged. 7 should be e fiu, 8 should be e qalu. 2. In the vocabulary, siqa is glossed 'eight'; it should be 'nine'
