Actually, it's not completely true that there's no linguistic
publication regarding conlangs. One case is interesting: regarding
Lojban.
Nicholas, N. 2002. Folk Functionalism in Planned Language: The
Long-Distance Reflexive vo'a in Lojban. Journal of Universal Language
3:1. 133-167.
This describes how user community of Lojban, a planned language,
decided semantics of initially ill-specified word vo'a.
Summary: as initially specified, vo'a could be used as either
short-distance or long-distance reflexive. Lojban community preferred
long-distance uses, not because it's easier or clearer, but because it
adds precision and can help to remove ambiguities.
