My wish list, no musician I but I sometimes have ideas:
A fantasia based on the theme to Doctor Who could be fun.
A symphonic interpretation on the Lay of Beren and Luthien. Everyone in
that seems to have a musical theme: the betrayal, Ungoliant (a very
disturbing alien theme), Luthien (Nightengale), the duel of Felagund and
Sauron, Huan (the baying hound), the dance of Luthien before the
Silmiril, Carcharoth's madness (the ravening wolf competing with Huan's
theme in battle); and finally the appeal to Eru, the One, (deeper than
the Abyss, higher than the Firmament, piercing as the light of the eye
of Iluvatar).
That one I can imagine but have no ability to imagine it into being. If
someone would like to imagine it, then consider it a gift.
- andrew.
