All that diversion about /nik/ meaning to have sex made me
wonder what word _I_ should invent for that purpose.

I wasn't going to invent such a word so early, because
there's still less than twenty root verbs and if one of them
happens to mean sex then it could arouse peoples' suspicions
in the wrong direction. But what the hell.

I decided on /alLe:R/ where /L/ is the Welsh 'll'.

According to my conlang's regular if slightly complex stress
rules, this word should be stressed on the second syllable.

The reason for my choice is that /al/ is the dipthong
associated with the familiar masculine (e.g. /taln/ = you,
singular, masculine, familiar) while /e:R/ is the diphthong
associated with the familiar feminine (e.g. /te:Rn/,
likewise), so I decided the verb referring to sex should
contain both diphthongs. Then I chose a consonant to go in
the middle that suited my aesthetic taste.
