Evolution theory is more than mere Darwinism. Real biologists worry about whether something is or is not "Darwinian" about as often as we worry about whether or not something is "Watson-Cricket". It's the theoretical edifice as a whole that matters, not whether or not it adheres to a 100-year-old prototypic version of the current synthesis.
