I'm not sure I understand what a "Scholar's Bowl" is: the other
non-athletic "bowls" are glorified trivia contests. Anyhow, it
sounds like a substitute for athletics for the, er, muscularly
challenged. In any event, it is notorious that boys' athletics
get more support, more funding, etc. and even in an area not
explicitly divided by gender, it is hardly surprising that boys
dominate. (This is not an argument about the *justice* of it.)
