I did check the list out back then in those days when we had 400
messages a day, and decided it was not for me. I only returned when I
found it had abated to a more manageable volume. Maybe some of us
have conlanging as their only hobby, but when you have some 30 other
lists to attend to, that kind of traffic is just forbidding.
Some filtering could be done of course, and honestly I don't find
most of the discussion here very interesting. But pretty often
threads drift from dull to rather more vivid territories without any
warning whatsoever, so you risk missing out on some of the gems that
appear now and then too.
Anyway, time is a precious commodity and growing more precious, so I
am giving some priority to measures for spending less of it in my e-
mail system. Will be watching developments...
