[Conlangs-Conf] Room reservation confirmed

Hello all.

A quick update: I've gotten a definite confirmation that we have the
Tilden Room reserved for April 23rd (Sunday) from 8:30-5:30 (for a 9-5
event). W00t. If you haven't seen it yet, here's the link:
http://asuc-aux.berkeley.edu/tilden.html . Quite pretty, seats up to
100, or ~30-50 with tables and such.

Costs though - $23/hr for a building manager to be there the whole
time ('for security'). Ah well; fortunately, I estimated that pretty
well, and added it to the last budget revision. I wonder if I could
get him to do some work for us while he's there - e.g. cameraman - but
I'm guessing not. Pretty cushy (if boring) job...

Grants applications are in process; should hear back from the
committee within a couple weeks or so. No word back yet from the
senator sponsoring my contingency-fund bill (for normal ASUC
sponsorship).

Some increased potential that the CogSci and/or Linguistics
departments may sponsor the event; should know more about that
soonish. We'll see.
