This confirms what Nik once said on this list that [@] and [V] are more
or less identical, the latter being associated with stress.
[V] doesn't exist in my dialect (or any Australian dialect as far as I'm
aware).
Do you remember anything about the phonetics of my own speech? I know it
was nine months ago ...
