It is not a new-found fetish....Just a near-feral cat that first showed up
last fall, and was sheltering on my porch in February, when it got
exceptionally cold here. After a couple weeks of feeding him, I was able to
touch him, then pet, finally grab him and stick him in the carrier and off
to the vet.  He was long-haired, and so tangled and matted that the vet
shaved him completely, except for face, paws and a big plume on the end of
his tail. Very strange looking.   I've been taking pictures as his fur grows
out-- which the vet said would take 2 months, but I think she was
optimistic.

He's really quite a nice cat, and free for the asking-- my other cats can't
stand him.
