Im really just looking to change the words slightly. Not so much they're
drastically different. For instance, i dont want to include such changes
as /g/ > /G/
Even in my Grandfathers language (Aklanon) the changes arent too drastic.
I'm not too sure about how certain sounds are pronounced but heres an
example of some of the changes:
Salamat - Saeamat=20
Aklanon - Akeanon
talong - taeong
Aklanon Tagalog
Isaea - isa
daywa - dalawa
tatlo - tatlo
apat - apat
lima - lima
an-om - anim
pito - pito
waeo - walo
siyam - siyam
napoeo - sampu
As you can see, L becomes E (most of the time)
The change there isn't too drastic. The reason i included those examples
is to show that even with two different languages (Related none the less)
the changes are not very drastic :). The words are recognizeable as bein=
g
related to eachother (Even though Akeanon is a Visayan language, and
Tagalog is a Luzon language). Incidentally, the changes aren't too even i=
n
Aklanon. It's said that Akeanon came about because a Datu (chief) had a
speech impediment, so everyone he ruled imitated his speech.
So, with that in mind i think i will go with:
p - b
t - d
k - g
y - h except in diphthongs: ay, oy (a reminder so i don't change the
sound into something different!)
Assimilation:
pb/bp - b
td/dt - d
kg/gk - g
Simple, and enough of a change to make it different from Tagalog.=20
