I just checked that out of the library today, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I've heard others on the list recommend it. If you're looking for something specifically on verbs, I also checked out Dahl's "Tense and Aspect Systems", which looks interesting (from the 3 pages I've read so far), but a bit too scholarly and not targeted at the general reader. In the Preface though, it recomends as an introductory text: Aspect. An introduction to the study of verbal aspect and related problems by Bernard Comrie I actually would have checked that out instead, but it wasn't on the shelf (despite the Computer catalog which read "NOT CHECKED OUT"). Thanks, ~Caleb
