Well, "quantum cryptography" is an actual concept, and not inherently
silly. This idea of "destroying the code that it breaks" sounds like
typical mumbo-jumbo misunderstanding/misapplication of the Uncertainty
Principle, but there are quantum cryptosystems - that is, cryptosystems
based on quantum mechanical properties and/or designed to take advantage of
quantum computing, which latter technology poses a very real danger
to current cryptosystems which rely on the difficulty of factoring large
numbers.
