Re: relative tense and beyond!

It has ocurred to me that it is possible to express a tense which
extends into the past and future with vector tense words. <mu> means the
instantaneous now, <rur> means surrounding. <rur mu> then means
"surrounding the now" . Since the mu is always confined to a timeline
and is one-dimensional, the "surrounding" just measures length into the
past and future, like a compass drawn circle cutting a straight line at two
points. So
<Za rur mu tok.> means, "she did talk or will talk." Further it can be
quantized by using one of the three length words for event vectors.
For example;
<Za lehi rur mu tok> says, "She (short time interval) before or after
now talked/will talk"
It could also be made a vague interval with the fuzzy words.
Pretty long-winded and isolating, but it could be compacted and
suffixed to give the desired tense and style. I did tack some some
similar affixes onto Mingo words with a result that pleased me, at
least.
Just a suggestion for your lang.
