I see no connection between gender on one hand and stress and vowel harmony on the other. Indo-European and Afro-Asiatic have gender, but they don't have vowel harmony. Uralic and Altaic have vowel harmony but no gender. I frankly don't understand what is your point. ... brought to you by the Weeping Elf
