Funny how one hobby drives another out! I've taken up
building musical instruments (from kits, due to lack
of carpentry skills and tools), and have just finished
a great bass Rackett (WOW, what a sound!). I like it
so much I'm going to make a matched set (great bass /
bass / tenor); and while it takes time that would
otherwise be spent tweaking a language, at least it
provides an opportunity to make some new words for
things that would otherwise have no words. In this
case, ill pommers (rackett) so called because of the
pummelling sound; and y phib mor (the Dumnonian great
pipes) with two chanters and no dronepipe.
