There's no good reason /x/ could not be the syllabic one...
Back to the topic (of the thread, not the mailing list): The original LJ
thread was obviously either a troll or a parody. I got back a comment to
my comment to that effect that was deleted by the time I got back to the
thread to reply to it. And other needlessly long and unweildy-to-parse
sentences.
I think the whole thread has been deleted now. There was certainly a
moderational warning about it posted.
