It is. The Korean reading for the same thing is "hanja".
Of course "Han" is the name of an ethnos, one of about 100 in China,
whereas "Chinese" = "Zhongguo" is the name of a nation-state.
So the Zhuang or Uighur or Koreans in China are officially just
as much zhongguoren as the Han are.
