It might also help that you aren't LDS yourself. Easier to hear it when
it's directed to you; I rarely hear people insulting gay people or blacks or
Jews, and I'm pretty sure that happens all the time. I only hear
anti-Latino jokes occasionally, but I know they're practically an epidemic
around here. In my experience, in Ohio, whether the jokes were about
Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons was a matter of which group had more a
presence in the local area. Here in LA the big favorite to make fun of is
the Church of Scientology (L. Ron Hubbard). Not surprisingly, it's a huge
organization here (they own at least a full block of Hollywood Blvd.,
interestingly enough right across the street from the Oscars' new location)
and it's full of high-profile people.

us. Truth is stranger than fiction, but lies are stranger than either.
