Oh, and one more I've read is _Alien Tongue_ which was
a rather good read years back.  I can't remember the
author's name on this one either, but it was in the
same imprint as _Red Mars_ (NOT by Kim Stanley
Robbinson)and _The Modular Man_.  Unfortunately, I
don't remember those author's names either.
