True, but that would make them essentially part of the US, and that
would only make sense if they also followed US laws and paid taxes, etc.
Besides, what about enemies? Would we really want an enemy having a say
in who's President?! I don't know of any case of a nation wherein OTHER
nations have a say in who rules it, with the exception of vassal states.
