I don't see any problem with it. This is essentially what Yivríndil
does, as subject and object are marked by word order, but there are
three other cases marked by inflections: Dative, Ablative, and Genitive.
One consequence of this, though, is that certain classes of verbs can
take their objects in the Dative, and in some dialects of Yivríndil
these verbs mandatorily take Dative objects. In a daughter language to
Yivríndil, which I might someday get around to making, the dative case
may eventually have completely taken over the function of the
accusative. You might think of incorporating a similar thing into your
conlang.
