Well you really can't, if you work out the grammar than you are working
out the morphology and syntax. There was a linguistics dictionary on the
internet somewhere that would define them. Either that, or find a used
general linguistics textbook. (That's what I did.) We do use big words,
but you'll find they generally mean fairly simple things.
I don't really have the energy to attempt a definition of the words you
mentioned, but someone else probably does.
