And what about the mutations? There are so many possibilities (as
a start, consider the mutations that are used for the radicals in
Chinese characters). A symbol could be rotated, flipped, skewed,
squashed, stretched, bent, abbreviated (in some symbol-specific way),
or the core lines could be changed to double lines, or it could gain a
"siamese twin", or ... !
