I'd always pronounced it /sO:rQn/, and the mispelling in Bored of the
Rings (Sorhed) suggests that at least one other group agreed with me.
However, the recent movie trailers pronounce it /sA:rVn/.

Any data on how JRRT pronounced it? How do you say it?
